El Paraiso Golf
Designed in 1973 by Gary Player, El Paraiso is one of the most established courses on the Costa del Sol. Set out in the peaceful El Paraiso valley with the backdrop of the majestic ‘La Concha’ mountain to the north and the sparkling Mediterranean to the south, El Paraiso has the envious reputation of not only providing one of the best championship course layouts on the coast, which draws players back time and time again, but also being the friendliest international club too. New members, golf societies and visitors are welcome.
Designed by the prestigious course architect Antonio Garcia Garrido Flamingos is characterised by its carefully conserved landscaping, with a large variety of trees and beautiful views of the Mediterranean. The greens are generously sized whilst its fairways are somewhat narrower on the front nine, where more precision playing is required than on the back nine. Flamingos Golf has held prestigious Tournaments such as the final of the European Seniors 2002, 2003, 2004, and the Spanish Ladies Open 2010. 18 holes. Par 71. 5714m.
Alferini Golf Club, formerly named Gran Flamingo, is a fantastic new 18 hole par 73 golf course.
Each tee has 5 start platforms, making it a stern but fair test of golf for all players’ abilities. Furthermore, the course has breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. Set in a valley, it is isolated from buildings and noise. It also features 2 lakes and is surrounded by a stream that comes into play on most of the holes. 18 holes Par 73 6641m.
Designed by the legendary Robert Trent Jones Senior, and located just 5 minutes drive from Marbella city centre, Marbella Golf Country Club provides one of the best and most challenging golfing experiences on the Costa Del Sol.
The facilities the magnificent Club House offers are a stylish restaurant, conference rooms, Pro-shop stocking all of the latest clothing ranges, a golf academy with an excellent putting green and three tennis courts. The surrounding hills, olive groves and magnificent sea views from our two shaded terraces provide a breathtaking backdrop for the Club House’s restaurant offering an innovative menu featuring local seasonal ingredients, prepared fresh daily.
The Marbella Golf Country Club course is renowned for its excellent condition, manicured fairways and quick greens, it is not however a long course (by modern comparison) where the driver is needed from each tee! This is far more of a thinking golfer’s course as so many of Robert Trent Jones designs are. Position of the tee is often more important than distance, stray off line on a number of holes and it will bite you but play it as it was designed golfers of all standards will enjoy it. The Par 72 course measures 5,827m (6.372yds) of the Championship tees, 5,497m (6,011yds) Yellows and a very manageable 5,015m (5,485yds) from the Senior tees (Blue).
La Cala has three 18-hole championship courses and a top quality 6-hole par 3 course, making it the largest golf resort in Spain. The three 18-hole championship courses all offer a different challenge, Campo America (formerly the North Course) is longer than the tighter Campo Asia (formerly the South Course). The fairways of Campo Europa are generous from the tees and the greens are slightly larger than on the existing courses. All three courses have been designed by Cabell B. Robinson.
La Cala Golf Resort also has an excellent academy facility with a full length range and specialised short game area surrounded by the par 3 course.
This internationally acclaimed course was laid out by Jack Nicklaus, who’s described it as one of his best designs to date. It’s a very challenging 18 hole course and even the expert golfer will find it a good test. Montecastillo Golf was host to the Volvo Masters for five years from 1997-2001 and has received €2 million investment over the last couple of years making it an even better round of golf. 18 holes. Par 72. 6043yds
Rio Real is situated in a beautiful valley between the Mediterranean Sea and the mountains. The Real river crosses the course several times. The course is not an easy one, although the layout is mainly flat. To successfully negotiate the eleventh hole, for example, golfers’ tee shots must cross a ravine onto the fairway, and before reaching the green, there is also a stream to cross! Built in 1965, Rio Real was designed by Javier Arana. The front nine is quite tight, but it opens up on the back, and has several elevated tees. There are many established trees lining the fairways. Judging distances over ravines can be difficult, so playing the course more than once can be a definite benefit. 18 holes. Par 72. 6057m
Located in Benalmádena on Spain´s Costa del Sol, opened in 1976. The course was designed by José “Pepe” Gancedo, one of Spain´s most promising amateur golfers, who has since designed many golf courses in Spain, and around the world. It is considered one of the best courses in Europe. A unique feature is the variety of hole design, which makes it important to choose the right club for each shot. The more intrepid player can test his skill on every hole, whatever his handicap. It would not be correct to draw attention to any particular hole as they are all part of the combined challenge presented by the landscape and nature itself. The greens are notable for their size and speed. Strategically placed lakes and bunkers add to the course´s challenge and interest. Over 100 varieties of shrubs and trees line Torrequbrada fairways and every hole has a backdrop of the blue Mediterranean and the mountains. The Torrequbrada golf course is very conveniently situated at approximately 20 minutes from Malaga Airport, Torremolinos and Fuengirola, and just 10 minutes from Benalmádena and its popular leisure harbour. To compliment the course the club has an excellent Clubhouse with restaurant, full locker room and a very well stocked Pro shop. The club also has a secure luggage storage facility for golfers coming from or on their way to Malaga Airport.
Desert Springs is situated to the north of Almeria near to the town of Vera. The par 71 International championship Indiana golf course was inspired by the top quality desert courses of Arizona. Played thoughtfully, the indiana can be both fun and testing, and is always a visually stunning, bright green fairways contrast viabrantly with the surrounding arid landscape of Cactus, rock and flowering desert. The courses signature hole is the 14th called “Tiburon” spanish for shark, a classic par 3 measuring 147 meters over water to a very well bukered small green. Overall a quality golf course with facilities to match. 18 holes. Par 71. 6159m
Valle Del Este golf resort is situated 7km from the costal town of Vera on hills that give this course an undulating panorama. The course has a fabulous mix of tight driving holes, raised tee positions, water hazards, dry ravines, challenging par 3’s and receptive and true greens. As well as the course there are extensive practice facilities and this venue is a firm favorite with both low handicap golfers who appreciate the challenge as well as begginers thanks to 5 well positioned tee’s on each hole. 18 holes. Par 71. 5742m

The water features and the skilfully placed bunkers guard the greens and the fairways have been compared to be like carpets. It has wide treed lined fairways, and large greens, which are well maintained and fast to play on. There are water features at several holes. The lush vegetation affords a pleasant oasis-style feel to a round as the palm trees and lakes create spots in this oasis of Golf.

To assist them in achieving this goal they have contracted the services of Aymerich Golf Management, a company which manages over 25 golf courses across Spain. Suitable for all levels of players, Los Naranjos is firmly established as one of Spain’s most popular golf courses, welcoming visitors all year round. 18 holes. Par 72. 6457m
Atalaya owes much of its charm and beauty to the fact that it was created back in 1968, before the rash of golf urbanisation development that has seen courses spring up all over the Costa del Sol. It was a slower pace of life in those days, when the design of a golf course was the priority rather than packing in the apartments on the edge of every fairway. Skilled ground staff have not only maintained the quality of the courses over the years, but created a perfect ambience around the clubhouse with pretty fountains surrounded by richly-coloured beds of flowers. Set against the stunning backdrop of the Sierra Blanca mountains, its two magnificent 18-hole courses – the Atalaya Old Course and the Atalaya New Course – are lined with mature eucalyptus trees, cactus and palms and pink and white azaleas that fill the air with an unforgettable and intoxicating scent.Old course: 18 holes. Par 72. 6146m. New course: 18 holes. Par 71. 5142m
